Central Wyoming Hospice has been providing end-of-life care since 1981. We are Medicare certified and a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization. Our only focus is on providing excellent care to people when they need us most, in the final stage of their life. It is because of this commitment that we care for more people at end-of-life than any other hospice organization in Wyoming.

What sets the Central Wyoming Hospice Team apart...?

Our Clinical Team has over 100 years of collective experience in providing hospice care.

We value education. All clinical staff receives specialized training in end-of-life care. The majority of our nurses and aides continue this commitment by earning Hospice and Palliative Care Certifications.

Our staff is available 24 hours a day to meet your needs. We are here to help you reach your goal of staying at home and not returning to the hospital.

Our beautiful hospice home is available for short-term stays when symptoms can't be controlled at home and long-term care when that is most appropriate.

We encourage respite stays in our beautiful hospice home. To care for your family, you need time to care for yourself. We offer you a break--or a respite-- to care for the caregiver.
We have a strong core of over ninety trained volunteers. Our volunteers cook meals, provide companionship, sit vigil, and so much more.

We are a non-profit organization. That means we only answer to our patients, their families, and our community.

Comfort Care vs. Hospice...

Comfort Care is symptom management. When curative treatment is no longer working, doctors will often suggest they focus on keeping your loved one comfortable. This often means adjusting medications and medical treatments.

Hospice Care is symptom management, but so much more. We recognize that your loved one is more than just the medical condition. That's why hospice care offers a whole team including a social worker, chaplain, grief care expert, and volunteers, in addition to our medical team.

We focus on supporting your entire family through this delicate time.
This may be one of your hardest journeys, but we're here at every step.
