Norman Wolfe's Story

Norman Wolfe sat at a table, gazing out the windows to the snowy scene outside; his thoughts often strayed to the great outdoors and the beauty of the Wyoming land. Norman made Garden Square Assisted Living his home, and it was there that a group from Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions showed up to throw him a 100th Birthday Party in advance of the big birthday bash his family had planned for the weekend.

Lois' Hughes Story

This is a story of strength, love, power, and choice. It's the story of a family that everyone fell in love with, everywhere they went. It's the story of the Hughes family and their journey through care at Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, one they generously want to share with others.

When faced with her diagnosis, Lois, who we came to know as a pillar of strength and compassion, knew what she did and didn't want. "I didn't want to prolong what isn't quality of life. This is my choice," she told us. It was her journey to take the way she wanted, and she said her decision to enter Hospice care was a decision of peace. That's a word she used often.

Thank you for the kindness and compassion you showed to our mom-and to us-during her final days.

You will forever be a part of her story and our memory of saying goodbye to her. We were all so fragile and you walked along with us with gentleness and caring.

My grandpa's wish was to pass away at home. We made this all possible with the help of our newest family members and your angels. They made my life and my family's life about a million times easier. These ladies are angels!

To Hospice Staff...I hope you know how important each and every one of you are, in case you forget. You all imprint on people's hearts, and root to souls. We will never forget what all of you have done for my mother and our family.

We know Bonnie appreciated everything you did for her-keeping her comfortable, loved and clean plus saving her dignity as well. You are wonderful and experts at your job at Hospice. Thank you!

I wanted to express my gratitude for your care of my mom. And, also, of me and all of our family while [she] was with you. One quiet afternoon when I was back at work, I was thinking of my experience at the Kloefkorn House and realized that I missed you. The tenderness and caring that each of you showed is something that touched me deeply and is something I will never forget. I wish you all the comfort and love that you provide to others.

Everyone made my sister's last days on earth so comfortable and so dignified, so comforting, and so safe. We, her family found great comfort and peace knowing she was in your care. Not only did you care for her you cared for us who were grieving in the loss we knew was to be. Your hugs and kind words and concern, not only for [my sister] but for us gave us strength to get through a difficult time. We are so thankful for each and every one of you. We hope you always know what a big difference you make in our lives. You are angels on Earth and we are eternally grateful.

Thank you for being there for me and [my husband] at the last. As he was in weak bad condition and I couldn't do what was needed at that time. I needed all of you too.
